MLM, What It Is & How To Generate Industry Prospects.
Are the days of MLM (multi level marketing) numbered.?
A few years ago I joined what I would consider 1 of the best MLM programs here in the UK. it had fantastic products at great prices and a massive compensation plan industry prospects loved it, which included residual payment overides a company car program and holidays abroad.
Sponsoring was easy (I mean I sponsored 8 in a week lol) the selling was easy, apart from the leg work. Everthing looked great, a lot of distributors where earning a lot of money!!
Then one day it happened!!
What I hear you gasp, The Internet..........
Every single day a brand new opportunity appears on the net, some are very good others are poor and some are an outright scam.
And this is where the problem lies, years ago when you sponsored a new industry prospect into your MLM program they were drip fed information. Go and find 3 who then find 3 and you will make this much money per month, contact your family and friends and use the 3 foot rule talk to everybody.
The problem with this Marketing setup is how out dated it is, put flyers on cars place ads in shops wear a pin badge to arouse interest (I no you`ve heard it all to)
Internet Marketing is a different way of thinking, gone are the days of "here`s my business doesnt it look great do you want to join" you have to have a unique selling point. There are far to many home business opportunities in cyber space for you to just wack up a quick website and shout "industry prospects here I am come and sign up"
With so many on-line MLM companies the retention rate for a business is likely to be estremly low. People jumping from 1 opportunity to the next, taking entire teams to the next big MLM business launch in search of a fast payout.
Residual incomes could become non-exsistant due to downlines and industry prospects disapearing as quickly as being built. MLM business leaders losing their hard earned monthly income because 1 of their downline legs has a disagreement and takes his entire team with him to a new company.
So what is the answer you may ask! Well there may not be a right or wrong answer, direct sales may appeal to many MLMers and Network Marketers. Huge cheques can be earned, industry prospects making yearly saleries in a month.
Some of these direct sales companies are so far advanced, with fantasic training and platforms that answer E-Mails and telephone calls. I really dont think old school MLM has a place anymore.
